for those of you that are/were experiencing delays across the eastern suburbs/illawara night tonight, the reason is because there was a fatality at kogarah station.
i was in the front carriage. was on the usual 6:15 cronulla train from town hall. when we pulled out of rockdale, it was normal. then, there were symptoms:
non stop train honking: the type that scares you when you pull out of the station,
non stop dinging: the type that comes after the doors close and before the train goes, and
huge brake sound: the type that comes right before stopping
station disappearing: though i didn't see that
of course, i thought nothing of it- typical me: disregard the symptoms. when the train suddenly stopped and i fell onto the guy sleeping, i still thought nothing of it. then, i realised that kogarah station disappeared, that's when i thought something of it. i looked outside, and thought, 'huh?' then i turned around, and kogarah station was behind us... weird.
then, once again, for the 2nd time in a month, we were to wait in the train for 15mins before anyone told us what happened. i swear, if we were terroristly bombed or engulfed in fire, as some people thought, we'd be dead by now. the doors were locked shut, damn it.
let out after 23mins. starving.
so... lessons to learn:
1. don't go killing yourself by standing on the tracks. it wastes other people's time. the whole train had to terminate. a trainful of disgruntled people
2. in a terrorist strike, we'd be dead if we were on cityrail.
3. in times like this, more snacks would be preferable. will bring more snacks.
4. run after using a fat sleeping guy as an airbag and don't look back
5. don't be stupid and walk out the door into nothing as some did (we did shoot past the platform)

i suppose? coz it was long beeping, suggesting they were on the tracks already.. so someone was looking forward to seeing the underside of the train :/
oh, and that was a reminder for myself. you may find other weird things popping up there..
I did experience delays... when I rocked up at Kogarah Station at approximately 8 something, the police were still there with the forensic team investigating the accident. And the station staff were still in shock. :| Still gives me the creeps thinking about it, a few days on.
In addition to that, my gym bag fell into the gap at Wolli Creek that same night. *sigh* What a day Wednesday was.

shieet u serious?? some idiot srsly threw themselves in front of ur train and killed themselves ?? jesus..
