TRIP NOTES
Flight (20)
9:35am flight. Checked in 7am. Woke 3am. Slept. Woke 5:30am.
Arrived home 11pm. Was quarantined on plane for 30mins at the gate because Customs was notified of a sick person on board.
As yet I have not shown signs of H5N1 contamination (bird flu).
I would have had a greater chance of getting it while I was in China, I tell you. So I fear nothing...
Airport (19)
8:30pm flight.
At 8pm, was told plane full.
Alternative flight 11:30pm HKG-Perth-Sydney (total 15hour airtime) not taken.
Alternative Cathay 11:40pm flight rejected.
Ended up slept overnight at airport and waited for the next flight... lol
Let me tell you, the airport is the most stylish/biggest/most coolest place I have stayed overnight at, ever. Slept 12:30am.
Weather permitting, Po Lin Monastery and hiking maybe? [edit] currently raining, 14'C
Bumming (18)
Plan B devised byn Matt and Ben @8:30am: something indoors.
Ended up: Going to Matt's, played snooker, went to Mongkok for art supplies/watches, etc... Went home for final HK dinner.
TST-Mongkok (17)
The gang and Anita met up at TST for Haagen Dazs crazy ice-cream, Citysuper, Avenue of Stars and then a spot of K-dinner with Matt minus Fai and Anita at Mongkok. Sticker photos all round...

Some last minute decision making by the "HK5" meant we met up at "Seafood Street" for a different taste of HK. Matt met us at night after the 4 of us observed some healthy yet painful foot massages on stones. The fog rolled in afterwards making the trip back on the minibus all the more treacherous (aside from the speeding) and Fai's staring of his hands...

Sha Tin (13)
Went to Sha Tin with Jen and Fai to figure out what the hell we were going to do in Macau. We waited for Janice to come back down from China... Ended up not eating dinner, coz I had to go home for dinner, likewise Fai.

Lights festival to mark 15/1 in lunar calendar.
Ocean Park - PHOTOS UP (7)
Went Ocean Park today with Jen, Keisuke and Matt. Had an excellent time. The photos are now online on Flickr.
Highlights:
1) Keisuke's precarious placement of camera when taking group shots (ie. tying on railings, etc)
2) The comment note written for Ocean Park
3) Our wetness after the wet ride (esp. Jen)
4) Keisuke's Eagle ride
5) The way we just walked into the rides with noone there

Guangdong Province
Was an interesting experience- in that it is my first CNY spent in China itself. Got lots of laisee XD Had a ball. The prices in China for food is unbelievably cheap. It's just like using AUD, but it's RMB...

the jetlag isn't too bad... though i am sleepy half the time. got straight back to work as soon as i got back, so yeah, no time to be sleepy either.
can't wait till you guys all get back and we can do something, this time in sydney XD

oOh i remem i came across a site in U magazine that actually lists the best airports to sleep in worldwide .. =D=D ..but damn i forgot the site.. google it..?
btw hows the jetlag ??
