Two months after assent, the Gazette reports on the progress of the Benji Act 2006.
Following some intense instances of extreme lostness experienced by Benji, it was decided that some modifications to the Benji Act 2006 was required. It must be noted that he has in no way succumbed to public pressure in adding this new section to the Act. The intent of such modification has always been to maintain the effective operation of the Act. It is necessary to reflect changes in conditions, as has happened here two months into its assent.
The new section FIVE-A applies to games, characters, weapons and gadgets. It seems that this section applies reverse-"ad-hominem", meaning, designed specifically to be used by one person. Its wording reflects this. Benji has been quoted as repeatedly saying "damn you Ethan, it's all your fault" in sessions to draft this section.
The previous section FIVE continues to apply in different but equivalent terminology. Note the removal of the word "western". With all respect to Benji, the Gazette believes that it should not have been removed. Its inclusion was to emphasise his lack of western grounding and its removal may be misinterpreted as an increasing understanding of western culture.
Benji is alarmed at the excessive use of section FIVE. He believes section FIVE is being overused to the extent that it has become accepted as normal everyday-language. The Gazette accepts that its use may be curtailed through him engaging in more of this notion called "western culture".
Section EIGHTEEN continues to apply, but with much less rigour as before. The logical conclusion is that Benji has vastly improved vocabulary and grammar. It may also be concluded that he is now much more proficient at the English language.
Note the repeal of section THIRTEEN.
