The effects of the drought in southern Australia are far-reaching. Ever since 2003, the levels in the river Motivation has gradually decreased at an alarming rate. Bursting at its banks in 2003, the river now trickles at its slowest rate in history. Well timed downpours hours before exam periods have helped to keep it flowing, however there has been no rain for close to 6 weeks, jeopardising the system's health. May the rains come soon or utter devastation will follow.
