I have picked major concert arenas from my favourite three lands and have done a small comparison.

Tokyo Dome (東京ドーム) (1988)
The Dome forms part of the Tokyo Dome entertainment complex called Tokyo Dome City that includes an amusement park. Tokyo Dome is the home to the Yoimiuri Giants baseball team and hosts several other notable sporting events and concerts.

A unique feature about the Tokyo Dome is that a controlled pressurised atmosphere within the dome keeps the flexible membrane roof from collapsing inwards. This is the largest concert venue in the Kanto region providing for 55,000. It hosted X-Japan's reunion concert in March 2008.

Upcoming acts: KinKi Kids, KAT-TUN, Avril Lavigne, Billy Joel and EXILE

AsiaWorld Expo (亞洲國際博覽館) (2005)
The AsiaWorld Expo is the newest and largest exhibition complex in Hong Kong located at Chek Lap Kok (Airport). Opened in 2005, the multipurpose complex has served major exhibitions, conventions, concerts and sports events.

The concert arena (Hall 1) seats 13,500 people and is the largest indoor seated venue in Hong Kong, taking over from the famous Hong Kong Coliseum. It also boasts extra high ceilings that can cater for pyrotechnic effects.

Upcoming acts: Alicia Keys, AKON, Ayumi Hamasaki, Fahrenheit (飛輪海)

Sydney Acer Arena (1999)
Formerly known as the Sydney Superdome, the Acer Arena is Sydney's largest concert venue with a capacity of 21,000 located in the Olympic Park precinct. It has regularly hosted the Hillsong Conference, the MTV Australia and ARIA awards.

Upcoming acts: Andrea Borcelli, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel
