Road closures
From Tuesday to Friday, there are road closures across the City including George Street (north of King Street), Erskine Street, Quay Street, Hickson Road, Argyle Street, Macquarie Street and roads surrounding St Mary's Cathedral. All other streets in the CBD will be partially closed.
Train arrangements
Regular train timetable services for morning and evening peak will run during this period. There is expected to be major congestion in all City stations as well as major suburban stations including Lidcombe, Chatswood, Strathfield and Parramatta.
Sydney averts chaos: [updated 15:35/Tue] The Union and State Government has reached consensus after hours of negotiation. The strike for next Thursday has now been called off.
Wynyard commuters: Please note that the tunnel connecting Wynyard station and Kent/Clarence Streets will have access restricted from 15-18 July 2008 to prevent overcrowding.
Bus arrangements
There will be a number of diversions and temporary bus terminals be set up where road closures cause disruption.
