北京奧運開幕了
張藝謀 (Zhang Yimou) is a genius. The Beijing 2008 opening ceremony was absolutely spectacular. The choreography and synchronisation of the show was simply remarkable. I loved the scroll theme that carried throughout the ceremony and the picture that culminated in the athlete's footprints filling in the hills. I was in awe at the last lap of the torch relay run around the roof. The cauldron is exquisite.
There was one downer unfortunately. The Australian uniform was an embarrassment. It looked like a tracksuit bought from the two dollar shop. Simply atrocious.
