surviving last week
Last week the stars aligned and students from primary, secondary and tertiary school all had holidays simultaneously.- Primary school holidays led many parents to also take leave to be with their children.
- Secondary school holidays gave teenagers an excuse to go out
- Tertiary school holidays gave us a chance to finally relax after assessments
- No buses, because the lack of peak hour traffic means that buses come about 10 minutes early.
- No seats on trains, because the they are filled with families with children all going to Circular Quay to look at the Opera House.
- No rooms for K, because teenagers are being rebellious and singing past dinnertime.
- No places to eat, because it seems like everywhere is full.
- No quietness, because crying babies drives me crazy on the train.
