the rudd sales!

I don't know if you've noticed, but the sales are back, and they're back with a vengeance. Our department stores are slashing prices by at least 20% and up to 40% on selected items. It's weird because generally shops don't go on sales around this time of year. So why, do you ask? Why is it tagged the 'mid season' sales when it's not really mid-season? Mid-Autumn? Not traditionally a season for sales.

It's actually all because of my previous post and those $900 cheques arriving in the mail, or to your bank account soon! Still haven't got mine yet.

Kevin Bank hopes that we'll go and spend. But with unemployment going up a whopping 0.5% last month to 5.7%, I'm not too sure that it'll happen. Even the banks aren't passing to us the 0.25% cut in interest rates handed down on Wednesday. What greedy institutions! SHOW ME THE MONEY!

The shops have jumped on the opportunity to start draining every dollar and cent out of your stimulation package. Spend spend spend spend spend spend spend.
$900
Go buy those shoes you were wanting to get.
Go get those pair of jeans you've longed for.
Go get that game that's just been released.
Go buy those kitchen utensils.
Go buy that new stereo set.
Go see that movie.
Go eat out.
Go spend.
Go do it.
Go.

So what did you spend $300 on?

I didn't... it's merely illustrating an example of the intended spending that Kevin wants us to do
