this vid not so fad
The latest internet video clip 'sensation' to sweep Hong Kong in the last day or so has now become the centre of a large criminal investigation. Due to the sensitivity of the content involved, I have only included a link. Be warned that this clip contains nudity and should be viewed by a mature audience only.
In the 2:31 minute video clip, a topless middle-aged man with a group of three men is seen standing outside 7-11 on the intersection of Soy Sauce Street (豉油街) and Shanghai Street (上海街) in Mong Kok. One of the men uses an umbrella to hit the middle-aged man, who is then seen undressing and walks naked about 20 metres. A voice can be heard telling him to walk if he does not want to repay the borrowed money ("還錢! 如果唔係,就走過去再返過嚟"). When the man returns, the group is seen to have left. The video is taken from atop building opposite to the intersection.Police have now taken the clip as evidence in an investigation of suspected assault (刑事恐嚇). The maximum jail term for a case of assault in this regard is 5 years. Police suspect that this may not be simply a case of public indecency and are now investigating. In Hong Kong, public indecency can attract a 6 month jail term.
