voting time
While I am on the political note, don't forget to vote next Saturday (13 September 2008) at the local elections. The penalty for not voting is $55.Voting is not compulsory for non-enrolled residential electors. Electors enrolled in the state/federal electoral roll are automatically enrolled into the residential roll for the council/ward they live in.
I found this Enrolment Verification website very useful. It checks whether you are enrolled, provides details on which local government area/council and ward you are enrolled in, and also tells you where the nearest polling booth to you is. Check it out.
